One of the first stuffed animals/pillows I made, was Wim. He's made of wool and felt....
Wim is a lovely, however, slightly old-fashioned Dutch name.
Wim could be a nerdy but sweet guy, working as a translator of vacuum cleaner manuals; wearing gray trousers with beige, knitted cardigans; one for every day of the week. Wim could be most happy when browsing his stamp collection or when having his books colour-sorted. Wim could get vexed when his duvet slips out of the cover so that at the top, he only holds the cover. Wim could hate it when his library books are full of dog-ears and stained with snotty spots of gingerbread or worse, real snot! Wim could feel irritated when people whistle gay songs loudly when passing by in the morning.
But this Wim, is not like most Wims. This Wim likes climbing trees and watching people walk by from his safe hideout. In the evenings, he likes keeping people company, preferably in warm, cosy houses on soft, cosy couches. And if you're lucky, you get to use him as a super soft pillow!
Wim's green, slightly cooler brother was for sale for a while in a shop in Amsterdam (http://storewithoutahome.blogspot.com/)
However, he felt a bit lonely and ran back home again where he stays now, safely near the record player where he listens to old Simon and Garfunkel records.....
